I remember last year when The High Court of Paris ruled that Steam cannot ban resale 'dematerialised' games which if Valve complied or didn't appeal, it would harm the gaming industry more than it would do good as people have no reason to directly buy, especially short, indie games when they can just buy second-hand copies while AAA companies would push for even more aggressive predatory business practices and turning their games into "live services" that hinders the experience.
